I read the rest of Alice's works a while ago, but I always put this one off as I just did not think it would be for me. And I was so wrong. Whilst it's not an instant reread like Loveless and Radio silence are for me, it's still very sweet and cute and displays both the good and bad aspects of fandom. Like always with Alice's work, this book is very in touch with internet culture and the ways which fandom works, nothing feels forced or put of place. The characters are diverse without feeling shoehorned in and they are all quite well rounded. I also love how this book does not focus on romance, which for some reason I thought it did.

I almost thought it was too fast paced, sometimes so much stuff was happening all in the span of a week, it was a bit hectic. Now, I'm probably a bit too old, and a bit too far removed from those crazy fandom days to thoroughly get into this book, but it was still such a fun and hopeful read, which also can spark conversation regarding the implications of toxic or overbearing fandom culture.
