This is a cool contemporary, very very modern romance book. I totally loved the take this whole book had. I listened to this as an audiobook which might be why I was uncomfortable by parts of the book. Rebekah did a great job at giving us relatable characters. Xeni is a Los Angeles school teacher and she’s got a relatable personality. She’s slightly more confident than your average woman but honestly I think she was written that way so that things in the book wouldn’t be so awkward.  For my taste this was a little bit too straight forward in terms of spice. I did like it, but it was very modern and different to what I’m used to reading. Also the narration was by a man portraying Xeni and I think that might’ve been what made me feel awkward. I think this is a great book to read considering this is how most things happen in the era we’re living in. Definitely not like the traditional courting we’re used to when we’re in search of a partner. Definitely an 18+ book. I also want to warn that there are lgbtq+ elements but this is about a relationship between a bisexual man and besexual woman.
