I’m torn between 2.5/3 stars on this one.
My first historical romance so I don’t have much to compare it to in that regard. However, I think the book started pretty strong but the lack of emotional development instead of just sexual desire between the two leads turned me off in the end.
Sophie’s friends were pretty interesting though and I enjoyed their scenes together. I will probably pick up the other books in the series at some point.
