 This was my very first Frieda McFadden book and… wow, I get the hype now. 👀 

From page one, I was hooked. The pacing was super fast (those short, bingeable chapters are dangerous lol) and I kept telling myself “just one more” until suddenly I was halfway through. The tension kept building, the characters all felt a little suspicious, and I was constantly side-eyeing everyone trying to figure out who to trust. 

Now, I thought I had it all figured out. I had my guesses, I pieced together some theories, and I was feeling pretty confident. 😂 But nope—I was so wrong. The twist totally blindsided me (in the best way), and I love when a thriller manages to surprise me like that. 

Overall, The Boyfriend was such a solid, addictive read. Dark, twisty, entertaining, and exactly what I want in a thriller when I’m in the mood to get lost in a story. I can definitely say this won’t be my last Frieda McFadden—I’m already eyeing her backlist. 👏
