Heartless Sky by Caroline Peckham, Susanne Valenti

I’m not okay. I don’t even know how to review this book. I have been completely invested in the series. But seeing the reactions of other people who finish this book way before me, I hesitated for months to finish this book. Part of me was hoping people were exaggerating, the other part of me felt like they were probably being honest with their heartbreaking emotion over the ending of this book. It’s a long book as these authors love to give us. The last chapter was the most heart racing moment in the series that I’ve ever read. I feel like the authors put every single main characters lives in a chokehold. There are moments where I cried. There are so many uncertainties with characters and relationships. I have no idea how the next book is going to mend everything together because this book left everything so broken and bruised.
This isn’t really a review. This is more of what a mindfuck these authors left the readers in.
I don’t even have any words. No one is safe right now in this book. And it left off just really sad.

There are of course moments where there’s humor. Geraldine is the funniest character I have ever met in my entire life. She brings so much light into a book that is full of darkness and heavy drama. I thank her for that.
Same with Xavier.
