The writing was picturesque without being flowery, and the relationships between the Squad are so well done and heartwarming. I skimmed a few times when Rob was getting a little overly angsty. And it’s very gruesome, so be forewarned. I was shocked and saddened at how
thoroughly Rob messes everything up in the end, and I’m not sure how I feel about the mystery of his childhood being left so open-ended.
