Lost Light by Michael Connelly

4.0

I love these books. This is the first one, I believe, that is told in first person, which takes some getting used to after 8 previous books where Harry's at a distance. Bosch is on his own now, having walked away from LAPD. He's still haunted by a particular cold case and, in investigating it, gets tangled up in some heavy terrorism/FBI stuff. We also learn something juicy about his personal life in this one. He's a great character and this series just gets better and better.
