The Invisible Library series gets better and better with each book. The Mortal Word introduces a murder investigation, more fae archetypes, and more dragon hierarchy that Irene has to face. Cogman writes an excellent mystery as always and the characters (both returning and new) are as charming and messy as always. I'm sure the next book will be "Irene gets to sit and read a book without anything happening" and definitely won't be another excellent adventure. 😉
