The Do-Over by Lynn Painter
5.0

I loved it!!! There's something with the way that Painter writes, that I really really like! In Better Than the Movies, she began each chapter quoting a Rom-Com movie; in this one, she begins each chapter with a confession from the MC. Most of them made me giggle, like Confession #2, "I once pulled a hotel's fire alarm because my parents were sleeping in and I wanted to get to Disneyland before there was a line to see Belle." Totally something that I would've done lol. The story was sweet and even though I could foresee everything that was about to happen, since it was very much like the Groundhog Day film, it was still a very sweet ending.

Confession #16 "When I was little and my mom made me apologize, I silently added, '...though I really am not' to the end of every single apology."

"I had no idea what I was doing, but I kissed the tip of his nose. Because this wasn't about boys and girls and love and attraction, this was about a human soul needing to feel seen."
