Did not finish book. Stopped at 44%.
197 pages in, and now I'm looking up spoilers because I have a sick feeling about the secret part of the main character's history that he was forced to forget.

Anyways, don't kill the dog. You kill the dog, you kill my reading interest entirely. Which sucks, because I was really enjoying this one.
