Emperor of Ruin by Django Wexler

4.0

The wait had been long for this one and with this comes the end of another trilogy. I've mixed feelings about this one as a whole. While the third book was by far the most strongest and interesting, the series as a whole fell a little flat for me.

Gyre and Maya, the dynamic duo are back. Finally together and about to shit up a storm. And they're facing one of the immortals. An immortal with twisted morals because no one wants to make it seem like heroes going up against heroes. Honestly, it's pretty straightforward from there on. No cursing from my side because of plot twists coz frankly there were none.

The saving grace has been Kit. Kit who was once human and now a construct and yet hilariously funny.

3.5 rounding up.
