4.25 stars. I’m a sucker for magic realism. Let’s just get that out there 😍 the idea that Daphne knew the expiration dates of her romantic relationships just as they started is such a clever premise.
The “twist” definitely was a twist for me. Daphne’s growth was satisfying. I loved her relationship with her parents - and that talk she had with her dad, right at the end where he shared he thinks about her every day, all the time - well that just sums up parenthood for me. It brought tears to my eyes thinking about how my boys are always on my mind ❤️
Hugo was great. **spoiler** as soon as their history came to light, I was instantly rooting for them both to be together.
The ending? Perfect. Not a pretty little bow, but perfect nonetheless.
