Alphas of Seduction by Lauren Rowe, K.M. Scott, Avery Flynn, Mickey Miller, Anissa Garcia, Jenna Jacob, Isabella LaPearl, M. Clarke, Shannon Hunt, Sierra Simone, Victoria Blue

4.0

Threadbare : I had trouble understanding and connecting to the characters. Their pasts, their actions, their psychology, and their surroundings confuse me. Daniel certainly did not make a good first impression and Janvier made me think like she was 15 years old. The plot is good, but the characters drove me away.
Always and Forever : I enjoyed this story, though I really could not understand Crystal's motivation behind her boldness and determination. When it came to how "badly she had to have him" and "he would be hers", etc, she had me confused with her fascination. In the beginning, I even thought she had bad intentions.
Little Tease : This is a very good story. I liked the characters and I found them well analyzed. I also enjoyed the plot. It left me with a smile when I was done reading it. An author worth looking into.
Lost Seduction : One more good story in the anthology. Though I would have liked Sebastian's character to be a bit more analyzed, it did not leave a hole in the plot. A funny and sweet story. One more author in my tbr.
Seducing Sophia : I started this book excited, as I've read one more book from this author and I had liked it. I enjoyed this one as well, but I think Burk should have groveled more to get back to Sophia's good graces (and mine). I did not fall for him, but I bonded with Sophia's heartache over and over again. Beautifully written and tastefully woven.
Just a Little Mischief : My first thoughts were "who exactly describes his/her own body like that and talks like that for him/herself? I did not even get a "happy for now" type of ending. This may have been my personal preferences, but they kept me from enjoying the story.
Picked up : I knew it! I just knew it how this one would end, from the very beginning. I really liked the story and the premises. There were a few inconsistencies, but I let them slide because of how much I enjoyed it.
The Secret Note : Lauren Rowe still surprises me. I absolutely loved this one. She went a bit further from her comfort zone and she rocked it. I loved how she kept it short and skipped in time, but still consistent and meaningful.
Hard as Stone : There we go again with the descriptions. I will probably never understand that. Further more, the kept they kept tripping over small things and creating misunderstandings. First, he does not want to settle and a few minutes (?) hours (?) later he wants only her - for reasons he does not know. Aaaaaand..... one more cliffhanger.
Red and White : A nice one, though it had more sex and less story. Not that I minded. Quite the opposite. It was a banging way to end the anthology. I liked how all three different characters were presented.
This is a very generous rate on my behalf. It leans mostly to 3.5 stars. Yes, a couple of things I did not enjoy were of my personal preferences. But in 10 stories, I only found 4 with more than decent levels of seduction. Of course, they were all novellas, so the authors did not have much space to write as much as they would like, but since 4 of them managed to add seduction, I take that it is doable.
I received an advanced copy.
