This novel covers over 30 years in the lives of a mother and her daughter and son.
It tells their stories in 3 different narrative arcs; each of the 3 changes due to the name the mother selects for her newborn son and the ripple effects that has on all three of them.
I found it fresh and engrossing, and I loved the main characters as well as most of the satellite characters.
One of those books I didn't want to end.
