Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon
5.0

Fresh off the last page, giddy laughter still echoing through the living room, i am writing this to remember (at least until i read it again) the feeling of hope this, admittedly dark and gruesome novel, gave me; post-book euphoria exists and i am given over to it. read this book, absorb it, write in it, holler across the balcony at your neighbors about, then look me in the eye and tell you don’t think you could run out the door right this second and do anything you put your mind to.

truly one of the most beautiful reading experiences of my life, running the gambit from devastating loss through dehumanizing and gruesome body horror to a young romance and revival of hope after the apocalypse, this is one my friends and family are going to get tired of hearing about, no doubt.
