Review
I received this book as an ARC, and I can truly say I’ve enjoyed my first ARC experience. I’ve had a wonderful time talking about the book and thoroughly enjoyed R. Moody’s debut novel! Before we get too deep into the review it’s probably worth noting that there is some dark content in this book and I would definitely recommend checking out the Trigger/Content Warnings, which can be found on Moody’s website here.

The book started off a little bit quicker than I anticipated, but this is definitely more down to me personally rather than a comment on the book and the writing. Through the first half of the book, you are quickly introduced to a fab group of characters, and despite not being with them for very long you rather quickly grow to love them. The main character Mika is very complicated, and you can tell straight away that there is more to her than meets the eye, and I loved her growth throughout the book.
I don’t like to give away plot points in my reviews, but the book had me on the edge of my seat more than once, and I definitely felt a wide range of emotions.
I NEED the next book. I need it. I needed it before the epilogue, and then the epilogue just killed me all over again.
If you love snarky FMCs, then this book is for you. I won’t lie needed a book that scratched that Throne of Glass itch, and this book did it for me.

Would I read it again? Absolutely.
