Wilder Girls by Rory Power

5.0

Exquisite, horrifying vivid imagery that's a direct blow to the human senses. Power completely nails the internal war within a female being held in captivity for long periods in a way that's sure to resonate with readers. For better or worse, bound by the constraints of a forced oppression. Power beautifully delivers a tightly bound literary gift between the bloodthirsty spark of carnal survival and the pull to protecting one's own against natural and unnatural threats. Hetty's recollections of those she yearn's to be and remain in orbit of are in the darkest, barest part's of a soul buried beneath emotional trauma.
