honestly i did not go to sunday school enough/have enough knowledge of most of the stories he references to really get the full impact of some of this stuff, but it was fun to kinda piece together the stories and then see the application/significance of the story in the essay's context. i bet they'd hit much harder if i knew wtf what happening, but i still enjoyed it! i think i'd like to reread after getting some more context

also sometimes he'd say something and it would be like he'd articulated something i've felt but never had the words to describe so that was pretty epic
