A fun, quirky & sassy rom-com from the bestselling author, Taryn Quinn. Well... that’s not 100% true. Oh, don’t get bent out of shape, the fun & sassy part is true, it’s the author that’s not. This book is written by TWO bestselling author’s, Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn. Yep, this duo combined their talents and creativity to pen books under one name. Good, now that part is settled. Phew!
The Crescent Cove series has a long list of characters, but only a small portion are introduced in this first book. There is a list at the end, but if you don’t like secrets revealed, then skip right on past those pages.
In this first story, it gets a tad redundant on the background details and the wavering back and forth between the main characters Ally & Seth, so I found myself skimming through those parts. The wavering could’ve been written better to create angst, but it just doesn’t get there. There is a bit of steamy passion, but nothing crazy. It’s sweet mixed with cheeky and sexy. All in, this was a good book for my bedtime reading. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a book that brings the sweet, sassy & sexy to your afternoon or nighttime reading.
