More Than Words by Jill Santopolo

4.0

This was my second Jill Santopolo read after "The Light We Lost" and before I get into it, let me just start by saying that Santopolo is definitely a beautiful writer!

While Santopolo's first book didn't quite do it for me, "More Than Words" was a more of a winner. The story followed along Nina's journey that was filled with heartbreak and loss while mixed with romance and drama. Compared to the characters in Santopolo's first novel, I found Nina to be a much more likable and relatable heroine as she struggled to find her identity through the aforementioned personal and professional circumstances. I enjoyed the depth of this love story and of course, Santopolo did a wonderful job of exploring other important topics and packing this read with a bit of an emotional punch. Overally, it was a quick read with a nice romantic touch.
