I feel like this book actually sends me on a whirl wind. I hate Ivy and Mateo quite a lot, maybe it annoys me so much because I'm not actually supposed to hate them well it normally isn't the main part of most of her books. But literality Ivy is so self centered. Like hating Cal because he basically through your sugar babies and the note, I get it. But he had a good reason and you guys were already not inviting him, he's feeling left out because of you. If you maybe stuck your head out of the ground and actually included him it I don't know wouldn't have happened. If you hadn't told a grudge on your brother maybe Mateo wouldn't hate you then? Ivy is just such an annoying character. And here comes Mateo. Not much better. Like seriously, beating a guy up? Did not think twice that it was Charlie, because I don't you were the one who perhaps broke in unexpected and how you guys don't even talk to each other and now this? Wow he is out there with the 200iq plays.



Now for the saving grace character the one who basically carried the book other than the plot which was Cal. He is the best. I stand Cal so much that its insane. He is relatable, a hopeless romantic who is a bit of a nerd and sometimes feels left out. He also really does have very big reasons for his actions and I mean honestly if someone tailed you would you be mad? Yes you would its an invasion of privacy to say the least. And yeah I get it someone tries to take your spot with your best friend it was a you and Ivy thing not a Mateo and Ivy lets leave out Cal kind of thing and if I was Cal, I would most likely do that too. Its just heartbreaking to be left out especially when it was supposed to be you and just that person but then it was that person who didn't invite you and you wanted things to be the same. Who doesn't? And calling Cal self centered when Ivy you were even worse is just so embarrassing honestly like who the heck man.


What I also did really like about this book though was also just the twists and the turns oh my gosh everything happened, so much happened and it was really enjoyable to see it all get pasted together and make sense in a way? The plot was so good because there were so many twists and turns every single chapter and it was just a really good plot based book and I think that Karen (the author) should just stick with that. I think what she attempted to do was to make a book with characters that are flawed because its all the rage right now but for me, it didn't exactly work and I feel she should just stick with the plot.
