How to Get Away with Marriage by Fenna Edgewood

5.0

Wow! I was thoroughly impressed with the character development. Quickly taken with Triss & Hugh. I have a tendency to really take to secondary characters, the main are great, amazing even… but I am in love with Polly. How quickly she takes to Triss in their initial meeting. That instant sisterhood was hilarious, and puts Hugh in his place immediately. Then the riot scene… OMG! Triss is fearless, and you can see the second Hugh’s protection instinct overtakes all reason. All emotions were on high alert during this entire scene. And the story just gets better from here. The mystery surrounding Beatrice’s past kept you guessing right up until the end and I was so happy with how her last & present came together. And what story is complete without a villain worthy of distaste. Edith I’m all her vanity and selfishness certainly lives up to her foul reputation. But like a good secondary character, I have a soft spot for a good villain and I am intrigued to see her redemption. A truly fabulous story with love, scandal, intrigue and action. Well done indeed!
