A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult

3.0

Jodi Picoult used to be one of my favorite authors. Over time, it seems she is becoming more about just pushing out her next book and cares less about consistency. There is nothing more frustrating to me than contradicting information in a storyline. If I can pick it up as a reader, why isn’t the author or editor able to do the same?
Also, using the reverse timeline is always a risky choice. Starting at the end of the story and working toward the beginning takes away the punchline. Especially in a subject matter as charged as this one.
Overall it had potential but just didn’t pay out.
