This is too triggering for me. Sara’s mom died when she was 12. When another traumatic incident occurs when she’s 16, she runs away from home, leaving her younger brother with her shitty dad. The fact that she left behind her younger brother isn’t believable to me as someone who also lost a mom and had a younger brother to look after. Even when I wanted to leave, I stayed for him. Given the relationship between Sara and her brother (described similarly to mine), it’s not believable to me that she would leave. I also can’t fathom this option & it’s bringing up too much for me.
