Liar, Dreamer, Thief by Maria Dong

Im not sure what to rate this. I enjoyed the thriller and mystery of it, but I could really do without a lot of the mental health stuff. I normally love an unreliable narrator and discussions about mental health, so I’m not sure where the disconnect happened for me in this book. I skimmed through the parts about the other world, as that part REALLY dragged for me. I wasn’t invested in it, and I hate when books rely on weird cryptic dreams.

That being said when it came to the real world mystery i was hooked and needed to know what happened! My jaw dropped in various points. So I think there is a really great story in here, but it either feels watered down by the other world, or mental health wasn’t handled with care from the author. I’m not sure which, but I have no clue how to rate this one.
