4.0

A rich, diverse collection of Singaporean prose and poetry originally written in Tamil, Chinese, English and Malay on themes and explorations of freedom, equality, humanity and hope. Gwee’s introduction is interesting in it’s discussion of South African inspiration for the collection which featured as part of the Spotlight Singapore event in Cape Town in 2011.

I enjoyed Alfian Sa’at’s Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Hanging, Ng Yi-Sheng’s The Audience and Alvin Pang’s Race.
