The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper

3.0

This novel would have been better if it were not so incredibly wordy. This story is ruined by using excessively creative word use in description and narrative. There is something to be said for being plain spoken, and Cooper's work could benefit from it. I don't know if he was being paid by the word, but my guess would be that he was.
