This was dark and twisted. The Hunchback of Notre Dame inspiration was really strong. Amaya was a strong female character and I really appreciated that her character was written in a way that was unapologetic for doing what she had to do to take care of her brother. Cade was something else.. my man needs a LOT of therapy. His inner struggles were written really well. Quinten was the shining light in this book that was much needed as a step away from the darkness. His character was so sweet and pure. Overall the strong focus on religion was a bit much for my personal taste but the book was really well written and the story was strong! Looking forward to the next book after catching the clue!!
