Oh, Sarah, I just don't know. I mostly like how this author writes, but I keep having misses with her... *sighs* This was so predictable for so much of it that the twist at the end (I'm clearly noticing a signature pattern) was underwhelming and felt overreaching. I like her descriptions and character development enough to not want to think she's a one-hit-wonder but it's beginning to feel like it might be that way for me. This one especially felt like it was trying too hard... My heart breaks because I was pretty read to love this story.
