I was captivated by this book. It had some errors, but I can overlook those considering how much I was immersed in the story. The best way I can describe CITD, is that it is a tale of survival—and the morally questionable ways people go about it. Nothing about the story is easy and no character is one-dimensional, but Roberts did an amazing job at putting us in the minds of each one and understanding, not condoning, their actions. I am rooting for Livvie, she’s one of my favorite female characters now and I can’t wait to see how this ends for her.
