I adore Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ writing and can’t wait for the last installation of the series. I loved that the focus was the brothers instead of Avery and I love how each had their own storyline and narrative voice. The concept of the game in Jameson’s storyline and the Devil’s Mercy was so enticing and I was constantly anticipating his next chapter. Grayson’s storyline was complicated and messy (but so well written) and I was living for the drama, I’m glad he found connection with people who almost get what it’s like to be him, but in a different way to his brothers which was refreshing.
The only let down for me was that I do wish their stories intertwined more. Perhaps if there was a link somehow, since the original trilogy was so meticulously put together but maybe we see that in the final book.

Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
