Becoming Duchess Goldblatt was a quirky little book about the twitter personality Duchess Goldblatt and her rise to internet fame. There are also lots of personal stories about the author behind Duchess Goldblatt and her past.
It really took me a while to get into the rhythm of this book. I'm not familiar with Duchess Goldblatt so I was a little lost at first. When I settled into the book and stopped looking for a linear "this is how I built this" experience, I found a lot of enjoyment in the whimsy and random nature of this story. Duchess Goldblatt is endearing, wise, witty, and loving. She offers a lot of hope in a sometimes hopeless world.
If you are in the mood for a meandering, thoughtful memoir, give this one a try. I highly recommend audio. It was a fun experience with a great special guest.
