Love, Holly
by Emily Stone
This one didn't work out as well for me as I hoped it would. Love, Holly deals with some serious topics from the get-go: car accident, miscarriage, cancer, death, and abandonment. The book comes back to these subjects several times over the course of the story, which takes place over the span of a year. While these are very real topics, I really didn't enjoy being constantly reminded of them in a "holiday romance". When I open a holiday book, I want those warm and fuzzy feelings. The book was pretty long as well and I felt it dragged in places. I don't doubt that this book will work out well for others, so I still gave it three stars.
