The Lost Years by Mary Higgins Clark

1.0

This book is making me question my taste level when I was younger. Has Clark always been this clumsy or is this a recent development? Everything felt so jerky. No natural progression, no gradually dawning realizations. The characters were stereotypical and flat. I was frustrated. Also I don't know if it was possible for there to be more unloveable characters. The murder victim began an affair in his 70s when his wife started signs of dementia. His actions destroyed the few years she had left and I'm supposed to care who killed him? For goodness sake I wanted to kill him!
