Angelfall, *Holds hand to my heart and sighs* oh how I loved thee.
I bought Angelfall when I was purchasing [b:Billy and Me|16112830|Billy and Me|Giovanna Fletcher|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1353125698s/16112830.jpg|21929129] as they were both on a 2 for £7 deal thing in my local supermarket, I picked up Angelfall due to the fact it had Angel wings on the cover and the blurb got me interested. BUT man am I glad I bought it!
It's safe to say this is one of my favorite books of 2013.
Quick Summary.
Angels have come to earth and are basically taking over and causing mayhem. Penryn, her Mum and her sister Paige are trying to get away when they come across a group of Angels kind of picking on one other Angel, enter Raffe. They slice off Raffe's wings, Penryn helps Raffe and the nasty Angels as a kind of Revenge take Paige who is wheelchair bound. Then Penryn and Raffe set off on a mission to save Paige and some how get Raffe's wings sewn back onto his back.
Characters.
Angelfall's main protagonist is Penryn Young a teenager who is ready and waiting to kick your ass. During her childhood she took defense classes at her mothers request. Penryn is funny, smart and kick ass. The lengths she will go to save her sister shows how much you really need family in your life.
Raffe, hello there Mr Sexy Angel. I immediately felt so sorry for Raffe, getting his wings chopped off! He is very stern. He is brooding, an angel and tormented, do I need say more?
When I bought this book I was not expecting it to be so creepy and gore filled. This is were the thing about not judging a book by it's cover comes into play, the cover is purple and has pretty little Angel wings on the cover. If the cover was to be accurate it would have a black cover with Angel wings and blood dripping from every available space.
At the end I was literally screaming at the book.
"NOOO!!! RAFFE COME BACK SHE ISN'T DEAD!!!"
"GET YOUR ANGEL BUTT BACK HERE AND LOVE HER!!!"
I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!! IT NEEDS TO COME OUT NOW ALREADY!!
Things I am hoping for the next book - World After -
1. Raffe finds Penryn!!!!!!
2. Penryn continues to be bad ass.
3. New characters? No more evil characters though!
4. Raffe gets his real wings back.
5. Raffe and Penryn kiss please. And don't say something snarky after it this time Raffe, you know what I'm talking about!
