In This Moment by Karen Kingsbury

There was 70% of this book that was just info dumping. The story of Alicia would have been much better to occur during the book, not as a bunch of exposition.
Even though you technically can read without knowing or reading about the other many, many Baxter books, there is a lot of exposition that is squeezed into as much as possible, which was frustrating. I don’t care about Luke and Reagan’s relationship, I care about the after school club lawsuit and that current relationship.
It was pretty pushy, but I didn’t mind that so much due to the topic of the book.
Difficult slog, but some good points and the story about the lawsuit was interesting. Though just for the record, civil cases find for liability not guilt.
Trigger warnings: suicide, murder/death, anxiety/panic attacks, Chile abuse, racism, infidelity and religious discrimination.
