The Hunting Party
by Lucy Foley
Kind of mid…
Large cast but so many of the characters are uninteresting and inconsequential - Samira and Giles, Nick and Beau. Even Heather and Doug, whose backgrounds are a stark contrast to this entitled group, clearly only exist to narrate the ‘After’ bits and keep the identity of the victim a mystery.
Random bits of plot felt rushed and were clearly red herrings - the serial killer on the loose, the Icelandic couple, the drug ring. The interpersonal turmoil was more compelling. Honestly though with how often Miranda was pissing people off I was rooting for it to be like that Agatha Christie book where they all were in on it
Also lol if this chick is such a good actress that she can get off a murder charge then how is it she failed to convince Miranda that she was surprised by the affair? Miranda was drunk as a skunk and raging at 4am and this psychotic, self proclaimed actress couldn’t give a convincing “oh no!” ???
