This book has (along with Sherrilyn Kenyon's books) made me want to go to New Orleans. The setting is semi-destroyed New Orleans made a great background for the story, which had me hooked. My only issue is that the book was very short, and since it seems like there's going to be a second one, I feel like more could have been put in this volume. It's beginning to annoy me how people keep writing series that are like 10 books long, but each book is really short... Other than that complain though, I really liked it.
