I thoroughly enjoyed The Hunger Games. I knew what the plot was before reading, as I have always been a big fan of the film franchise. I love Collins’ writing style - it was medium-paced, which I think is perfect for this story. The writing style made every word easy to read, even when there is graphic injury detail.
Graphic: Child death, Confinement, Death, Gore, Physical abuse, Violence, Blood, Grief, Murder, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
Minor: Animal death and Cannibalism
