Rage Becomes Her: The Power of Women's Anger by Soraya Chemaly
5.0
Despite being very aware of feminist issues and having read books, articles and more on the topic, this book had me nod in affirmation so many times I stopped counting, and had me grunt in disbelief and anger equally often. It’s engaging and enraging, it’s affirming and accusing and it makes you reflect on yourself and the world which I find the most valuable gift of such a book. Everyone who cares to understand contemporary (unfortunately still relevant) struggles of women in a world where the default is male (unfortunately still, too) I recommend this book to. I wish for everyone who can read to read this book, to better understand the dynamics and issues that are reality for half the world. Soraya Chemaly is able to put into eloquent words, thoughts and feelings that I sometimes struggle to articulate. I thank her deeply for producing a piece of literature that will stay in my thoughts for a while to come.
