i’m so glad that a kind B&N cashier recommended this book to me; it was so sweet! not to mention the adorable chapter art and sprayed edges.
i went into this only expecting a sweet, cozy romance and got some awesome world building on top of that! the whole “world being split into two and brought back together” plot along with the mystery of kat’s mom was so intriguing. i’m a simple guy, i love a portal.
watching kat and brenda learn how their respective worlds work and seeing their relationship develop was lovely. the entire experience of reading this book was lovely; i even loved all the side characters. while there were a couple typos and the ending was wrapped up quicker than i would have preferred, it was still a great time.
