It took me about 50 pages to really get into the story. I was reading wondering why everyone recommends this because the story seemed like it was really dragging. And I know, 50 pages is a harsh judgement but if a book doesn’t hook me I don’t wanna keep going. After I got past the little world/character building bits, it was so good and I flew through the remaining 400ish pages.
