bridget_in_md 's review for:
The Host
by Stephenie Meyer
this is.... different so far.
it was really hard for me to get into this book, because i had just finished the twilight series, and really enjoyed that (well, with the exception of the last book!).
however, as i kept reading, i found i really enjoyed it; it was pretty science fiction-y (alien host "soul" inhabiting a human body, who refuses to totally give up her own identity, then goes back to find her human friends/family, and ends up living with a hidden sect of humans). but i really enjoyed it.
once again SM seems to want to give that "perfect" ending, which i don't think is necessary to have a good story...
