No Beast So Fierce: The Terrifying True Story of the Champawat Tiger, the Deadliest Animal in History by Dane Huckelbridge

challenging informative tense slow-paced

3.5

This was recommended to me on Storygraph through my "Out of My Comfort Zone" recommendations, and I will say it was a pretty decent read.

There were sections I found that were unnecessary, such as the author's constant usage of "One could have imagined...," which draws the reader away from the legitimacy of the story. Another thing I found challenging is the use of the foreign language terms without describing them fully for the reader.

After reading it, I have learned more about Nepal, tiger hunts, and exactly what elements push such a majestic animal to hunt human beings. To be honest, I felt kind of sorry for the Champawat tiger by the end of the story.
