A forensic anthropologist heroine and a detective hero work together to track down a serial killer. It's a fairly straight-forward investigative RS with a romance budding between our leads, and as always I appreciate the forensic research. Both leads are smart, capable and efficient. After the last two overtly testosterone-fueled cop heroes in my last few reads, it's great to have a change of pace where this detective hero is still masculine/confident, but with a more empathetic/sweeter side and with great respect for his heroine and her capabilities.

Slow burn romance, because of her issues with relationships, but he's patient and gives her the space. Although their chemistry isn't as good as the other couples in the series, it's enjoyable/sweet enough and I do like the ending.
