🙃 I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jeanette McCurdy 🙃

In this funny and heartbreaking memoir Jeanette McCurdy spills all the Rea about working for Nickelodeon, having a narcissistic abusive mother, and is very transparent about her struggle with eating disorders.

I was just aging out of Nickelodeon when iCarly was airing. I remember watching it but hardly ever liking it. By watching it though I never would have guessed that any of this was going on behind the scenes. Jeanette has been through it and I’m so glad she seems to now be taking control of her life and doing the things that bring her joy. It was amusing to me how candidly she talks about the show she’s on and her honesty made me trust her. It’s weird “reviewing” a memoir. What else is there to say besides that I learned more about someone else?
