Revolution Day: A suspense and spy thriller by Blair Denholm

5.0

Revolution Day is a gripping, entertaining and thrilling read. Blair Denholm exudes versatility with his words bringing to life numerous Russian landscapes. Given the nature of the plot, there is a strong undercurrent of suspense, distrust that perfectly matches the unrelenting Russian winter. Captain Viktor Voloshin, the protagonist, grew on me as I turned the pages. He is anchored by his daughter to survive the mundaneness, but his sense of justice shines throughout the novel. The supporting characters infuse well with the overall plot.

Additionally, the banter to balance the grim and the brutality is well done. There were times where I burst out laughing. I can't wait to read more of this series (I'm already manifesting for a series). I appreciated the ending for its realism. A 5 star read!

I received this ARC from the author, and this honest review is left voluntarily.
