The Cats We Meet Along the Way by Nadia Mikail

3.0

I loved the reminiscing of her hometown she can't quite remember - Kuching, because I grew up there and have never ever seen it spoken of in a contemporary novel before.

Unfortunately that's where the connection ends for me. The FMC was extremely self-centred and I didn't find myself forming an emotional connection to any of the other characters either. This book just felt like one big wallow in self-pity.

Also, spoiler: There's only one cat.
