Resident Alien, Volume 3: The Sam Hain Mystery by Peter Hogan

4.0

Resident Alien is one of my favorite comics currently coming out. On its surface, it's about an alien hiding in plain sight in small town America. But that's mostly background story. Each story arc focuses on the alien trying to solve a mystery in the community he's become a part of.

This one focuses on an old paperback leading the alien to suspect the author of the book murdered someone years ago, and is still living in the town.

Like the other volumes in the series, it goes in unexpected directions, and every tiny turn is perfect.
