The writing is mediocre and pedestrian. It's trying to be a salacious Desperate Housewives tale but the characters are so aggravating and obnoxious. None of them are likable in the slightest. Or believable as fully-developed characters.
One personal pet peeve of mine is when writers use "if I'm being honest." I'll let once slide--maybe twice if the overall is good--but it is used here to an annoying degree.
Also, what was the thought-process behind the accent choices by the narrator? Made absolute no sense.
